Yoga Fundamentals Workshop

Demystify Alignment and Breath Cues in Yoga Class Part.1 

2/21/2021 2pm ~ 3:30pm (PST) Live Q & A follows

This workshop will go over some fundamental principles of yoga practice. For this first of the many series, we will demystify some commonly used alignment and breath cues:

  • Go over some foundational alignment points for safety and balance and explain the reasons behind some commonly used alignment cues.
  • Ujai and diaphragmatic breathing.
  • Live Q&A at the end of the session
  • This workshop consists of lectures with some movements and breathing exercises.  Please wear comfortable clothes.

Hi! I’m Kiyomi. 

I am a Yoga Teacher and Holistic Health Coach and have been teaching in Los Angeles since 2009. I am passionate and dedicated to learning and sharing the tools that help us live with expanded awareness and greater mental and physical health. 

I teach breath-focused flow classes, pranayamas, kriyas, restorative yoga, and meditation techniques from different traditions. My keen interest in psychology, neuroscience, yogic philosophy, and eastern anatomy are infused in my offerings to support your journey to living your lives aligned with your truth, passion, and purpose with joy and peace within.

This class offers a mix of alignment focused flow, kriyas (combination of repetitive movements and breaths to create a moving meditation), pranayama, followed by restorative poses and guided meditation to recharge and rejuvenate yourself.

RELAX DEEPLY

Unwind and restore your body and mind with gentle flow followed by restorative and yin poses combined with gentle pranayama.  The ultimate chill pill for restful sleep.

Rejuvenate & Reset Flow

This class is a combination of medium-paced flow, calming breath exercises, and gentle stretches to de-stress and rejuvenate your body and mind.  It's a perfect class to reset your energy and connect inward.   The suggested playlists are available for this class.
