This workshop will go over some fundamental principles of yoga practice. For this first of the many series, we will demystify some commonly used alignment and breath cues:

  • Go over some foundational alignment points for safety and balance and explain the reasons behind some commonly used alignment cues.
  • Ujai and diaphragmatic breathing.
  • Live Q&A at the end of the session
  • This workshop consists of lectures with some movements and breathing exercises.  Please wear comfortable clothes.

Hi! I’m Kiyomi. 

I have been teaching Yoga in Los Angeles since 2009 in English and Japanese. I am passionate and dedicated to learning and sharing the tools that help us live with expanded awareness and greater mental and physical health. 

I teach alignment and breath-focused flow classes, pranayamas, kriyas, restorative yoga, and meditation techniques from different traditions. My interest in psychology, neuroscience, yogic philosophy, and eastern and western anatomy are infused in my offerings to support your journey to living your life aligned with your truth, passion, and purpose with joy and peace within.

This class offers a mix of alignment focused flow, kriyas (combination of repetitive movements and breaths to create a moving meditation), pranayama, followed by restorative poses and guided meditation to recharge and rejuvenate yourself.

This class is a combination of medium-paced flow, calming breath exercises, and gentle stretches to de-stress and rejuvenate your body and mind.  It's a perfect class to reset your energy and connect inward.   The suggested playlists are available for this class.
